Impressive
I purchased this tagine more than a year ago. I've used it nearly ten times and I am able to report my experience with it. It is a large tagine. I use it when I have six or more guests. I bought it to explore Maroccan cuisine and Paula Wolfert's North African recipes.
I was concerned about using a ceramic dish on a gas top stove. No problem. Warm the tagine over low heat before putting the ingredients in it. To bring the recipe to a boil raise the heat to medium. No higher. Reduce heat to low and simmer for the time indicated. I've used it for Moroccan chicken and lemon and halibut steaks, potatoes, tomatos and Moroccan spices. If the recipe calls for potatoes, par boil them first. In my first attempt the potatoes were not cooked through after 1.25 hours of simmering.
There is a wonderful reaction when you place the tagine on the table. Our guests are wowed by the appearance of the tagine and the wonderful food.
