Japanese Tsukemono Pickle Press 2.4L

Japanese Pickles - the easy way
I have a big glass jar and plate, with a bag of marbles to weight down the vegetables I put in the jar to 'pickle' the Japanese way. That is, seasoned and salted, pickling in their own juices. Now, I found this pickle press online and it's much neater, much easier - and it's actually the method used by Japanese people.

The pickled vegetables are delicious. A great way to use raw veggies. With a little soy sauce, eat them with a small bowl of white rice. Simple, filling.

I'm happy with this purchase. The box containing the pickle press has instructions in Japanese. It's easy enough to figure out how it works. Enjoy!

Meh.
This works reasonably well, but could be better. The pressure plate is plastic and the spring may be too weak, so that the pressure isn't even. Nonetheless, it does work.

Works great!
We made our first batch of kim Chee it didnt look like it would be big
enough but we can do a double batch plenty of room and love the tongs.
Highly recommed!
